Experienced Leader and Cyber Security Professional
A highly motivated and technically skilled cybersecurity professional with a diverse background spanning military service, education, and hands-on security engineering. Holds the CISSP and ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) certifications, and earned a Master’s in Cyber Operations from Metro State University, as well as a Master’s in Technology Education from St. Cloud State. Experienced in incident response, cyber risk analysis, security education, and customer-focused engineering roles.
Previously served as an Army Signals Intelligence Specialist (33W) and Shadow Drone team leader, completing two overseas deployments and holding a non-commissioned officer leadership role within a division headquarters. Followed this with work as a DoD contractor specializing in aviation maintenance systems, then transitioned to education, where experience as a teacher and mentor led to success guiding award-winning robotics and cybersecurity teams in engineering, manufacturing, and communications technology.
Currently pursuing opportunities in cybersecurity engineering, with a focus on security architecture, vulnerability management, and automated threat detection and response. Combines a deep technical foundation with a passion for applied research and innovation. Recognized as a quick learner, visionary cyber defense strategist, and adaptable problem-solver who thrives in complex, mission-critical environments.
